Supported Employment

Meaningful Work, Long-Term Support

Our Supported Employment services are dedicated to helping individuals with developmental disabilities not just find a job, but get and keep meaningful employment in the Mat-Su community. We believe in the power of paid work and the value of working alongside non-disabled coworkers.

Person-Centered Approach

We use Person-Centered Planning to identify careers that best match the individual’s unique skills, talents, and interests. This personalized approach ensures the job is a true fit for long-term success.

How We Help Individuals Thrive

We offer a comprehensive support system throughout the entire employment journey:

Job Development

Our team actively engages with local businesses to identify and create customized positions that align with an individual’s unique skills, interests, and career goals, fostering true occupational fit.

Job Placement

We provide targeted assistance with essential employment tasks, including resume writing, interview preparation, and navigating the application process to match individuals with appropriate job opportunities.

Ongoing Job Site Support

We provide continuous, individualized support directly at the worksite. This includes training on specific job tasks, assistance with employer communication, and guidance on adapting to the workplace environment, ensuring long-term job retention and success.

Partnerships in the Community

MSSCA works in close partnership with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) to help individuals meet their ultimate career goals.

In addition, MSSCA owns and operates Clear Vu Janitorial, which offers high-quality janitorial services to local businesses. This enterprise provides both needed commercial services and valuable, real-world employment opportunities for our consumers.
