Fun Activities for the Whole Family

The Mat-Su Animal Shelter is always looking for
volunteers to help with cleaning cages, doing laundry,
sorting papers, and of course playing with the animals.
Please call 746-5500 for more information. Volunteers must
be at least 16 years of age or older.

The Scrap Basket is a scrap booking supply store. They
are open Tuesday thru Saturday from 10:00-6:00pm. They
offer use of a large classroom with the use of a die cut
machine. They hold weekly classes, and in order to secure
a seat in class you need to prearrange it by calling

The Alaska Native Heritage Center is located in
Anchorage. They offer a wide variety of classes as well as
perform Native dances and music. Contact Rod Adams
about the availability of free passes. For more information

The Alaska Club has weights and exercise equipment, as
well as hot tubs and racquet ball courts. Contact your
supervisor to take advantage of this opportunity.
