Fetal Alcohol Resource Project

The Fetal Alcohol Resource Project was
developed to provide a local resource for
families for diagnosis of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum
Disorders and to expand education/public
awareness in the Mat-Su Valley about the effects
of prenatal exposure to alcohol.
We want everyone to understand that:
Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is 100% preventable

No amount of alcohol during pregnancy is safe
Services:
Diagnosis and referrals for individuals prenatally
exposed to alcohol and their families

Parent/caregiver support to expand their knowledge of
FASD and networking opportunities and education

Community education and public awareness about Fetal
Alcohol Spectrum Disorders to work toward prevention
by educating the community about the effects of
prenatal alcohol exposure
Eligibility:
Anyone age 3-18 years old who has documentation of
prenatal exposure to alcohol
Sources of Funding:
State of Alaska Provider Agreement

Medicaid billing for some components of evaluation

Donations for prevention/public awareness materials
Cost:
Provided at no cost
